Background

The Nepal-India Chamber of Commerce & Industry was formed with the aspiration to promote bilateral trade and economic potential. By offering timely information and critical market analysis, NICCI curates studies, thematic programs and shared platforms for its members, in order for them to achieve insight into opportune sectors, projects and ventures in Nepal and India. These undertakings prove beneficial for members when expanding and sustaining operations.

As a bi-national Chamber, NICCI works with government and non-government bodies in Nepal and India, to link entrepreneurs and other major stakeholders in both the countries. It facilitates the formation and sustenance of strategic partnerships and ventures. It focuses on deepening the complex lines of economic interdependence by fostering an environment where mutual interests are identified and can be worked on. NICCI has also been designed to promote discussions and resolve issues faced by the members, advocating for their interests in interactions with concerned authorities.

Introduction 

Nepal-India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NICCI) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization. Formed through an ad-hoc Committee in 1993, it was registered with the District Administration Office, Kathmandu on 6 September 1994 (21 Bhadra 2051). 

Currently, it has a total of 150 members from diverse business sectors. Thus far, it is the only body established in Nepal that works for the mutual benefit of Nepal and India in terms of trade and commerce.

Vision 

As a unique platform, NICCI aims to increase engagements and facilitate the promotion of bilateral business linkages to Nepali and Indian entrepreneurs.

Mission 

Fostering and facilitating economic activities through the promotion of bilateral trade and investment collaboration between Nepal and India.

Goal

Sharing prosperity between Nepal and India through economic integration.
