Nepal-India Chamber of Commerce and Industry and House of Rajkarnicar Host - Nepal-India Food and Beverage Forum in Kathmandu

Kathmandu, 13 July 2026- The Nepal-India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NICCI) and the House of Rajkarnicar, successfully organized the Nepal-India Food and Beverage Forum in Kathmandu on Monday, July 13, bringing together key stakeholders from Nepal’s food and beverage and hospitality sectors to explore opportunities for greater bilateral collaboration.
The forum was organized as a precursor to the Food and Beverage Hospitality 2026 exhibition, scheduled to take place from September 11–13, 2026, at Girija Devi Sanskrit Sankul, Varanasi, India. The event served as a platform to introduce the upcoming international exhibition and encourage participation from Nepali businesses seeking to expand their presence in the Indian market.
The program commenced with opening remarks by Mr. Kunal Kayal, Vice President of NICCI, who highlighted the importance of strengthening Nepal–India economic cooperation through increased engagement in the food, beverage, and hospitality sectors. He emphasized that industry forums such as these create valuable opportunities for business networking, market expansion, and cross-border partnerships with the Indian stakeholders.
Mr. Birendra Rajkarnicar, Chairman of the House of Rajkarnicar featured an introduction to the House of Rajkarnicar, outlining the organization’s role and its initiatives in promoting trade and industry collaboration. This was followed by an expert presentation by Mr. Rajan Sharma, who provided participants with an overview of the Nepal-India Trade Fair Exhibition, discussing its objectives, business opportunities, challenges which needs to be well taken care by the exhibitor participants and the potential benefits for Nepali enterprises participating in the upcoming event in Varanasi.
The forum was attended by representatives from Nepal’s hotel, restaurant, and catering (HoReCa) industry, food and beverage manufacturers, hospitality businesses, entrepreneurs, exporters, distributors, and other industry stakeholders. Participants engaged in discussions on enhancing bilateral trade, expanding market access, and fostering stronger commercial partnerships between Nepal and India.
Through initiatives such as the Nepal-India Food and Beverage Forum, NICCI continues to facilitate meaningful dialogue between businesses of both countries, reinforcing its commitment to promoting trade, investment, and economic cooperation across sectors.
