Nepal-India Chamber of Commerce & Industry (NICCI) and Nepal Business Institute (NBI) join hands to organize Nepal Business Summit 2026

KATHMANDU, April 29, 2026 — The Nepal–India Chamber of Commerce & Industry (NICCI) and the Nepal Business Institute (NBI) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on the organization of the Nepal Business Summit 2026 to be held on 18th May 2026.
The MoU was signed today at the NICCI Secretariat in Narayanchaur, Naxal, by Mr. Kunal Kayal, Vice President of NICCI, and Mr. Bishal Gaire, Executive Chairperson of NBI. This agreement marks a significant step toward strengthening efforts to promote and support the business ecosystem in Nepal.
The collaboration aims to jointly organize the Summit as a platform for dialogue and knowledge exchange, featuring panel discussions that bridge policy and practice, as well as ideation and implementation. The Summit is expected to generate consolidated recommendations based on these discussions and aligned with international best practices.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Kayal expressed confidence that the Summit would contribute to the development of a comprehensive roadmap for policy formulation and implementation, supporting Nepal’s broader goals of economic transformation and prosperity.
Under this partnership, NICCI and NBI will work together to create platforms that promote both domestic and international business engagement, positioning Nepal as an attractive destination for investment, particularly in the context of a stable government with a strong parliamentary majority.
The collaboration will also facilitate engagement among a wide range of stakeholders, including sector representatives, policymakers, bureaucrats, diplomats, business leaders, development partners, and academicians.
Representatives from both institutions conveyed their confidence that this partnership will be meaningful and productive, contributing to Nepal’s long-term economic development.
