RBI sets govt's short term borrowing limit

Mumbai: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) today said that it has set a limit for the federal government's short term borrowing at Rs 30,000 crore ($6.8 billion) for the April-September period of fiscal year 2010-11. The Ways and Means Advance limit for the October-March period has been set at Rs 10,000 crore, the central bank said in a statement.
