No biasness in recruiting IT staffs: Government

New Delhi: Government of India declared in Rajya Sabha today that no biasness should be showed while recruiting candidates in IT and ITES companies. These are a part of the knowledge industry in which recruiting must be done depending on the proficiency and the merit of the candidates. Sachin Pilot, the Minister of State for Communications and IT remarked that IT and ITES industry generates huge employment opportunities for candidates every year. It has directly recruited around 2.2 million IT professionals, whereas the indirect employment in the industry amounts to nearly eight million. More than 30% employees in both IT and ITES industry comprises of women, which is higher than any other industry. Most of the IT firms recruits differently enabled candidates. As per different company owners, discrimination is not followed by them as it is a performance based industry.
