Infrastructure output up 9.4 pc y/y
NEW DELHI: India's infrastructure sector output grew 9.4 per cent in January from a year earlier, higher than an upwardly revised annual growth
of 6.4 per cent in December, government data showed on Thursday.
During April-January, the first 10 months of the 2009/10 fiscal year, output rose 5.4 per cent from 3.0 per cent a year ago. The infrastructure sector accounts for 26.7 per cent of India's industrial output.
